Watching reruns of Grey's Anatomy or getting emotionally invested in crime documentaries
Planning the next creative shoot, because let’s be honest… I’m always dreaming up something
Hanging out with my my two cats — chaos, cuddles, and a lot of snacks
Getting outdoors and 4wding and/or camping all over the South Island.

My "Why"
I got into photography as a young teen... but never really explored it until after my Nana passed away.
Her passing was a difficult time, but also a blessing when the moment came. She was no longer herself, and physically and mentally was suffering. Others who have gone through this "pre-grief" and expecting with a loved one will know exactly what I'm talking about.
I decided I needed to capture everything... I didn't want to miss any part of life that could be offered to me. I didn't want to forget a single thing. I wanted to be able to flick through albums and photos in my hands my entire life.
It wasn't until I started doing portraits 6 years ago that I found exactly what gave me the most joy capturing. People. Their emotions and their personalities. The things about people we wish we could hold a part of forever. I often wish I had photos where I could have that of my Nana.
PHOTOGRAPHS ARE ONE OF THE SIMPLEST WAYS OF HOLDING ON TO MEMORIES.
Perfect or imperfect. It's all a part of creating and remembering your dream wedding.
Photography and weddings should be representative of the connections we've made in our lives. The love we've found mixing two people and their own families and friends. The photos that show relationships and stories will be the most important of our lives and mean so much while being so little.
Think about it... weddings are typically the ONLY time you will get photos with your loved ones!
