We’re awkward in photos… what if we don’t know what to do?

You’re not alone in feeling that way — and it’s something I hear all the time.

You don’t need to know how to pose or “perform” for the camera. I’ll gently guide you when you need it, and step back when you’re naturally in the moment. Most of the time, it’s about creating space for you to just be together — and that’s where the magic happens.

Do you pose us, or is everything candid?

A bit of both — but always with intention.

I’ll guide you into natural movement and connection rather than stiff posing. Think prompts, gentle direction, and letting moments unfold naturally.

The goal is for your photos to feel like you — not like something staged.

How do you help us feel comfortable?

Connection always comes first.

I take the time to get to know you both, your dynamic, and what matters most to you. On the day, I’ll be a calm, steady presence — someone you can trust to guide when needed and blend into the background when it matters most.

You won’t be left wondering what to do — but you also won’t feel pulled out of your day.

Do you help with timelines?

Absolutely.

I’m more than happy to help shape your timeline in a way that allows your day to flow naturally — with enough space to actually enjoy it.

We’ll make sure there’s time for the important moments, without everything feeling rushed or overly structured.

What happens if it rains?

Honestly — some of the most beautiful, emotive photos come from unexpected weather.

If it rains, we’ll adapt. Whether that’s finding sheltered locations, embracing the mood, or adjusting timing slightly, I’ll guide you through it.

Your day doesn’t need perfect weather to be perfect.

Can we sneak away for photos during the day?

Definitely — and I actually recommend it.

Even just 10–15 minutes away from the crowd can give you space to pause, breathe, and be together. Those moments often become some of the most meaningful images from the day.

Do you travel outside Christchurch?

Yes — I photograph weddings across Christchurch, Canterbury, and throughout the South Island.

Whether you’re planning something local, rural, or somewhere a little more adventurous, I’m always happy to travel to be part of your day.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes — I’m happy to split remaining payments into smaller instalments leading up to your wedding.

Planning a wedding is a big investment, and I want the process to feel manageable and stress-free where possible.

What do you love most about weddings?

The in-between moments.

The ones that aren’t planned or expected — a squeeze of the hand, a quiet tear, the way your people look at you when you’re not watching.

Those are the moments that hold the most meaning, and the ones I’m always drawn to.
